Buy one more organic item as part of your weekly shop
Did you know organic farmers avoid artificial fertilisers and chemical pesticides? Instead, they rely on natural methods to control weeds whilst maintaining soil fertility and wildlife. You can put nature first at home by swapping one dairy item in your weekly shop for an organic alternative.
Make Your Empty Butter Tubs into a Wild Flower Oasis
Did you know we’re planting 4 Tiny Forests across the UK? Whilst we don’t expect you to plant a forest in your garden, a plant pot (or butter tub!) of native wildflowers in an outside space provides pollinators and insects with shelter and food from leaves, pollen and nectar. If you do have extra room, planting a small tree can also create a safe haven for animals to thrive!

Turn your food waste into compost instead!

Make sure your fridge temperature is turned to 5C
Swap wasted food, for a cool, fresh fridge. Warm fridges can lead to food going off quickly meaning it’s wasted. Because of this, up to 3.1 million glasses of milk are poured down our kitchen sinks every day in the UK! Make sure your fridge is at an optimum temperature of 5°C. to keep your milk cold and fresh! 🥛
