We Returned To Groundswell!
Yeo Valley Organic attended its third year at the eighth annual Groundswell event in Hertfordshire on 26th and 27th June.
Yeo Valley Organic attended and sponsored Groundswell for the third year running on 26th and 27th June at Lannock Manor Farm in Hertfordshire.
Groundswell is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about conservation agriculture and regenerative systems, showcasing ways of working with nature to grow food in a more sustainable way. The event is open to both farmers and anyone who is interested in learning more about the theory and application of different systems like cover crops and no-till to improve soil health.
This year, we sponsored the Grass Tent, where Yeo Valley’s Tom White and Yeo Valley Organic’s Will Mayor joined a panel discussion alongside Farm Carbon Toolkit and First Milk to debate how to make milk as sustainable as possible.
Groundswell goers were also offered the opportunity to try our organic Cow Pie, which was served at our ‘meal deal’ tipi beside the Grass Tent. Cow Pie is one delicious part of our agroforestry project, which our speakers touched more upon in the panel discussion. Highlighting organic regenerative agriculture at its best, we’re delighted to be able to offer beef products to purchase for the first time.
We also handed out our ‘usual suspects’ of yogurt, milk and drinking kefir – which proved very popular in the sunshine. We even had a very special royal visitor as HRH William, Prince of Wales, visited our tipi for a chat with Tim Mead and a sip of kefir.
With over 120 speaker sessions taking place over the two-day event, it was a fantastic opportunity to network and share our passion for restoring soil health.
We look forward to heading back to Groundswell in 2025 for another year of all things green and regenerative.
