Celebrating 30 Years of Yeo Valley Organic in style!
We are celebrating three decades of Yeo Valley Organic! To mark this occasion, we hosted a birthday baking masterclass and a tea party in The Garden Cafe down in the Yeo Valley Organic Garden with members of our Yeokens Community, co-owners, the Mead family, and a very special guest – Frances Quinn, winner of the 2013 Great British Bake Off.
Ready, Set, Bake!
We held two cupcake decorating workshops across the day, the first dedicated to our ‘Legendairy Yeokeners’ and the second to our co-owners who are the backbone of everything we do at Yeo Valley Organic.
Frances demonstrated the cupcake and biscuit designs ahead of everyone getting their hands covered in ganache and coconut grass. There were certainly some star bakers and Paul Hollywood handshakes that could have been awarded!
It's Time For Tea!
As the afternoon rolled on, it was time to celebrate with a tea party! The highlight? A spectacular cake created by Frances. Decorated with flowers, glitter balls and cows, this was none other than a showstopper! The design reflected Yeo Valley Organic’s commitment to doing business from the ground up – love and care for the soil, pedigree cows, and delicious organic products.
In the words of Frances: “I was thrilled to have been asked to bake Yeo Valley’s 30th birthday cake – and to come back down to Somerset where it all began for me as a professional baker. It’s been such an exciting few days in the Valley, baking, decorating and getting to spend some time in the countryside. I’m so proud of what we have created: a three-tiered cake that truly reflects the three decades to celebrate. I’m really grateful to have been able to spread the cheer with the team on 30 years of Yeo!”
